Relax in the rooms VOL.III
Quote by Kent C. Bloomer and Charles W. Moore: “What is missing in our
present dwellings is the real relationship between body, imagination and
the environment” as a question of reflection and inspiration.
The place we have chosen for our object is roughly in the middle of the
square. In this way we try to connect both halves, both different worlds,
while working in the space with the typical features of the place.
In the space we take possession of his existing objects and stimuli with
which we continue to work.
These include trees, benches, fountains with fountains, car traffic, passing
people, or the sound of water.
The grid structure, which consists of 25 rooms, uses existing elements,
which creates individual rooms with their own atmosphere.
The construction is connected in both parts. At the bottom they form the
thresholds that hold the regularity of the dimensions of the room, which is
three meters to three meters, but also serve as a symbol of the realization
that we are entering another space in this place visually unique.
Each side of the room is completed with curtains with which visitors can
create diverse spaces.
So they can lock themselves in a tree room, or make one big common
space.
In order to reinforce the structure, we chose seating platforms and a solid
core in the middle, which forms a symbolic place without entry. Inside,
there is a bench in the dark space that reflects the heavens above your
head using a mirror. We can only look into that public space. Think about
him.
Furthermore, we insist on the atmosphere and experience of the space. The
main goal is always to see space differently, to experience something new,
to interconnect boundaries and to interconnect the power of the
environment.
